Day 01 : - Arrive Delhi. Delhi tour.
On your arrival in Delhi the capital of India, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. This magnificent city has been inhabited from the 6th century BC and has been a capital of many kingdoms. Delhi's culture has been influenced by its different rulers and the city is full of beautiful monuments. The Mughal rulers influenced the food habits of the residents and Mughlai cuisine originated here. Old Delhi is a maze of small lanes lined and old buildings and New Delhi has large road with huge buildings.
Your morning Old Delhi tour starts with Raj Ghat where father Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. You will be driven past the iconic Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, a very popular and a busy market in Old Delhi to the next stop - Jama Masjid, one of the iconic, historic and largest mosques in India - built by Shah Jahan. A rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk is worth taking. The numerous shops here sell delicious mouth-watering food, clothes, jewels, household goods, etc. and are virtually a shopper's paradise.
In the afternoon New Delhi tour you will visit Qutub Minar a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in 1192 by Turk ruler Qutub-Ud-Din Aibak. You will then move forward to Humayun’s tomb, yet another UNESCO world heritage site. Your next stop is India Gate, built in memory of the Unknown Soldier. You will drive past Parliament House, President’s House and other Government Secretarial Buildings. Your final destination is Lakshminarayan Temple dedicated to Lakshmi and Lord Narayana. Day 02 :- Drive from Delhi to Jaipur.
This morning, you will be driven to Jaipur. Jaipur, also known as the pink city is the capital of Rajasthan. Many captivating palaces are present here having breathtaking design and architecture. In the 18th century Prince of Wales had visited Jaipur and the entire city was painted in pink color and due to these pink buildings the city is known as the pink city. Origin of Jaipur lie 260 year back. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh and Jaipur got its name from this king. You have time at leisure or optionally you could visit Galtaji or Sanganer.
Galtaji with several temples and sacred water tanks is an important site for Hindus. The other important temples in Galtaji are Balaji temple, Sun Temple and Ramgopalji Temple. A large number of monkeys are ever present in the Ramgopalji Temple complex. Of the seven sacred water tanks known as kunds, the Galta Kund is the most sacred. On the auspicious day of Makar Sankranti, large numbers of devotees bathe in these kunds.
Sanganer is famous for textile printing and its Jain temples. In the Sanganer prints, the designs in colors are printed on a white background. Lord Adinath is the deity in the red stone Shri Digamber Jain temple. This temple has fine carvings and was built in phases during different times, the last part in the 10th century AD as per an inscription on one of the Toranas. The temple has seven underground floors kept closed due to old beliefs. Visitors are not allowed to enter the underground floors and only an ascetic Digamber saint can enter these floors. Day 03 :- Jaipur & Amber Fort tour.
This morning you will visit Amer fort also known as Amer Palace or Amber and was the ancient capital of Jaipur. This magnificent fort was constructed in red sand-stone and marble by Raja Man Singh. Near the Ganesh Gate, there is a temple dedicated to the Goddess Sila Devi. The Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Sheesh Mahal and Sukh Niwas are quite beautiful. At the he Sukh Niwas, a pleasant climate is created by winds that blow over a water cascade. You could ascend the fort by walking up the steps or on an elephant's back or in jeeps.
In the afternoon tour you will visit the seven storied Maharaja's City Palace which is a perfect blend of Mughal, Rajput and European architecture. Your next stop is Jantar Mantar, the observatory which attracts mathematician and astronomers from all over. You will visit Hawa Mahal popular for its magnificent architecture. Day 04 :- Drive from Jaipur to Fatehpur Sikri to Agra. Agra tour.
Today morning you will be driven to Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World heritage site from the 16th century. Here, you will be visiting the Jama Masjid, the Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and Buland Darwaza. You will visit the other graceful buildings in Fatehpur Sikri - Ibadat Khana, Mariam-uz-Zamani’s palace, Naubat Khana and Birbal’s house. After the visits, you will be transferred to Agra by road. Agra the former capital of Hindustan is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna. Agra is a major tourist destination of India and a part of the Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Delhi and Jaipur. Agra also known as Akbarabad went through its peak during the time of Mughals and was the capital of under the Mughal rulers Akbar, Jahangir and Shahjehan. Agra is famous for inlaid marble work and handicrafts.
Today's morning tour of Agra will take you to the Taj Mahal, which was built in white marble by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of wife Queen Mumtaz Mahal. You will continue with the tour stopping at the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will visit Khas Mahal, Jahangir Palace, Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas. Day 05 :- Agra Gwalior by road. Gwalior tour.
Today you will drive to Gwalior. Gwalior, a historical town was founded by the King Surajesan. The legend is that Prince Suraj Sen lost his way in the jungle. On meeting a sage Gwalipa the Prince asked for water and was led water which quenched his thirst as well as cured him of leprosy. In return, the sage asked him to construct a wall to protect the sages from wild animals. The Prince obliged and named the place Gwalior after the sage. Gwalior is the birth-place of world class musician Tansen.
Gwalior is known for its sacred temples, beautiful palaces and monuments. Your afternoon tour will take you to Man Mandir, Gujari Mahal, Teli Ka Mandir, Sas-bahu Temple, Jai Vilas Palace, Mausoleum of Tansen and Tomb of Gaus Mohammad. Gwalior is the birth-place of world class musician Tansen and every winter a huge cultural festival is organized in memory of Tansen, which attracts music lover from across the world. Day 06 :- Drive from Gwalior to Orchha. Orchha tour.
This morning you will be transferred by road to Orchha. Orchha was established in the 15th century AD by Rudra Pratap Singh, the first king of Orchha. Orchha Fort consists of several constructions like Raja Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, etc. You could climb the roof of the camel shelter "Uth Khana" for a beautiful view of Orchha. Day 07 :- Drive from Orchha to Khajuraho.
This morning you will be transferred by to Khajuraho. On your arrival in Khajuraho, you will be assisted in check-in at your hotel. Khajuraho is known for its erotic and beautiful temples. These temples were constructed by the Chandelas during 950 AD to 1050 AD. After the period of Chandelas, these temples were forgotten and covered with dense palm-date trees. The name Khajuraho comes from the date trees known as Khajur trees in Hindi. The transport is at your disposal with-in the city limits. Overnight is in Khajuraho.
Day 08 :- Khajuraho tour and then flight Khajuraho to Varanasi.
This morning you will Chaunset Yogini Kali Temple, Bharatji or Chitragupta temple that is composed of magnificent 11 headed pictures of Lord Vishnu, Lakshmana Temple, Mahadev Temple, Vishvanath Temples and Shiva’s Visha Temple. The Parasvanath Temple is the only Jain temple that still exists. The Javeri Temple is dedicated to the Hindu Lord Vishnu. The other temples you can visit are dedicated to Lord Brahma, Lord Adinath and Yamuna.
Later you will be transferred to airport for your Varanasi flight. On arrival in Varanasi, you will be transferred to your hotel. Your have time is at leisure. Varanasi or Benaras or Banaras or Kashi is said to be the oldest living city in the world, dating back to 5000 years. It was the cultural and spiritual capital of North India. Day 09 :- Tour of Varanasi and flight to Kathmandu.
Your early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges will take you to Manikarnika and Harishchandra ghats, which are frequented by devotees. These two ghats are quite famous not only for taking a holy dip, but also for cremation purposes. It is strongly believed by Hindus that whoever dies in Varanasi and gets cremated on bank of river Ganga achieves salvation, thereby releasing him form this birth cycle.
Later you will be transferred to the airport in time for your Kathmandu flight. On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Kathmandu is the largest metropolis and capital city of Nepal. This city has indeed a lot to offer including a number of exotic attractions carrying full of historical importance as well as religious significance. Kathmandu has a rich history, spanning nearly 2000 years. Most of Nepalese follow Hinduism and Buddhism. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight is in Kathmandu.
Day 10 :- Kathmandu city tour.
This morning you will be visiting Durbar Square, the heart of Kathmandu, built between 12th to 18th
centuries. This site displays brilliant architectural structures and comprises within itself numerous
fortresses, temples, religious shrines, figurines, fountains, etc. You will be taken to the Mahadev
and Parvati Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Next destination is Hanuman Dhoka,
built by ancient monarchs, comprising of numerous palaces, shrines, Afternoon is free. Overnight is in
Day 11 :- Kathmandu.
The entire day is at leisure in Kathmandu to give you the possibility of visiting the various nearby
places of interest. Nagarkot surrounded by thickly forested hills of pine trees offers you magnificent
sights of the Himalayan peaks at sunrise. On a clear day, you may be able to see the tip of Mt.
Everest from Nagarkot. Dhulikhel offers you good views and a number of temples like Kali Temple,
Bhagwati Temple, Hanuman Temple, etc. Changu Narayan a small town offers you the oldest temple in
Nepal of Lord Vishnu and a museum. Panauti is another old town full of ancient temples. Kakani offers
you a good view of the valleys. Overnight is in Kathmandu.
Day 12 :- Kathmandu Delhi flight.
You will be transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. on your arrive in Delhi you will connect to
your return/onwards flight. As most of the flights depart after mid-night, accommodation is not
included in Delhi.
